Phase Three - Pool Update
Posted on Jul 6th, 2020

Hello, Belmont Glen Residents!

Starting Wednesday, July 1st, we will be expanding our pool operations into Phase 3, which means free swim is permitted and no longer limited to lap swim only.
The pool will be opened in 2-hour increments, followed by 30-minute closures whereby the facility will be cleared and all pool patrons must vacate to allow for thorough and proper disinfecting of high contact surfaces before reopening.

Many of the current safety precautions will continue. Please read the following information carefully. With your cooperation we can provide the safest possible swimming experience for our community.
Accessing the Pool

Pool visits will continue to be coordinated via SignUpGenius through a link!/showSignUp/904084caaa622aafa7-belmont
and also posted to the Belmont Glen HOA Community Pool FB page. To ensure compliance with the Phase 3 occupancy restrictions and physical distancing requirements, reserving space through SignUpGenius is required.

Upon arrival, residents should plan to provide proof of residence with a picture ID. Residents will also be required to sign and submit an acknowledgment form with checklist testifying that they have not experienced symptoms nor have knowingly been exposed to the COVID-19 virus in the previous 2 weeks. This form, which is more comprehensive than the previous checklist for Phase 2, can be found on SignUpGenius and should be printed out prior to arriving at the pool, if possible.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18-years-of-age or older. If the accompanying adult does not wish to swim with their under 16-year-old child, they may observe from the deck as long as they maintain the expectations for social distancing. Parents of teens (16 and up) who wish to access the pool without a parent and who do not possess a picture ID, should inform the Pool Committee whereby a list of their names for lifeguard reference will be maintained. At home childcare providers may also be included on this list. Please contact the pool committee if you have a childcare provider who needs to be added to the list.
Protecting the Health of Residents and Lifeguard Staff
Residents will enter through the lobby/pool house and proceed through the restrooms onto the deck area, and then exit the same way through the restrooms in the pool house.
  • Doors will be propped open to limit contact with doors and door handles.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the point of entrance/exit.
  • Residents are encouraged to wear a mask when they are not in the pool and to the greatest extent possible if they must interact with or require assistance from a lifeguard.
  • Toys and Flotation devices are not permitted.
  • All HOA owned deck furniture (tables and chairs) will be stored and unavailable for use due to the difficulty of sanitation after use.
  • Residents are encouraged to bring their own seating to the pool if so desired.
  • Restrooms will be open and available, but residents are strongly encouraged to use the restroom at home before and after pool visits.
  • Social distancing is required.  Ten feet of space should be maintained between non-household members. Lifeguards are not responsible for the enforcement of social distancing guidelines. Failure to comply with social distancing expectations may result in the loss of pool privileges.
  • Parties, swimming lessons, and guests are not permitted in Phase 3.

Crystal Aquatics has advised us that the following measures will apply to lifeguards and other pool employees:
  • Only 1 lifeguard will be allowed in the lobby/pool house area at a time.
  • Lifeguards will use gloves and masks.
  • A plexiglass barrier has been installed at the entry way counter.
  • Lifeguards and staff will be reminded of the importance of staying home any time they are not feeling well.
IMPORTANT: If a resident or a member of the lifeguard or other pool staff tests positive for the COVID-19 virus after visiting our pool during the period when they may have been contagious, it should be reported to the Pool Committee and/or our pool management company, Crystal Aquatics as soon as possible.  Consequently, the pool will be closed immediately for a period of 48 hours to ensure that the pool facility is properly disinfected prior to reopening.
The Pool Committee may be contacted by email at We also encourage residents to join the Belmont Glen HOA Community Pool FB where you will find updates and information communicated in real time.

Your Pool Committee members are:
Kevin Mataxas, Chair
